In 1967 Helen and Archie Menzies, long time residents decided to open a new beauty salon in downtown Port Perry. Helen had operated a hairstyling establishment for years on Rosa Street. When they opened their doors, Helen was joined by her son David who had recently graduated from hairdressing school. They name their new salon David & Helen's Hairstyling. Three years later, when Helen retired, David took over the sole ownership of the business and renamed the business David's Beauty Salon.

In 1994, David's son Scott joined his father at the salon, making the third generation of Menzies serving the hair needs of the area.

Recently, Davids' added a spa to their services featuring Dermalogica, an exciting line of skin care essentials.

David and Scott, as they look to the future when Scott will continue the Menzies tradition, have renamed the establishment Menzies Salon & Spa.

Over the years, beauty salons have come and gone but Menzies Salon & Spa remains the hair salon of choice in the Port Perry area. We invite you to try Menzies Salon & Spa where we have a tradition of service to the community.
